The Tennessee Association of Criminal Trial Lawyers (TACDL) holds programs for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) in order to help the members stay up to date on the laws and legal proceedings of today in Tennessee. The TACDL is one of the oldest state criminal bar associations in the entire country and the members work hard to support and educate lawyers throughout Tennessee. The CLE programs are meant to aid lawyers by increasing their knowledge and allowing them to provide the best possible legal service for clients. This legal association sponsors more than 80 hours of CLE seminars each year and Attorney Claiborne Ferguson was a speaker at one of the recent programs. These programs are meant to train, educate and allow for networking opportunities for the members. Some topics covered at the CLE programs for criminal law include:
- New Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- Ethics in Criminal Law
- Social Media as Evidence
- Rights of the Accused
- Reasonable Doubt
When attending these programs, the members gain new insight into the law and their legal practices. This is a way to progress and grow as a criminal defense lawyer in Tennessee. Attorney Ferguson was able to share knowledge with the rest of the members of TACDL at a recent CLE. Experienced lawyers can speak to the other members on topics they are knowledgeable about in order to help other attorneys improve their legal services.
